Privacy Policy for CaseClarity

CaseClarity is a local-first macOS legal drafting workspace. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.

Information the App Uses

Case and Evidence Data

CaseClarity lets you create case folders, import user-selected files, extract evidence text, draft documents, manage deadlines, and save local workflow state.

• Your cases, uploaded evidence, extracted text, generated drafts, filing profiles, and workflow notes stay on your Mac.
• CaseClarity does not upload your legal files to a CaseClarity server.
• CaseClarity does not sell case data, use it for advertising, or run third-party analytics.

Subscriptions

If you subscribe, purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store.

• CaseClarity receives StoreKit entitlement information such as the purchased product identifier and subscription status.
• CaseClarity does not receive or store your payment card information.
• Subscription management, billing, refunds, and cancellation are handled by Apple.

Local Preferences

CaseClarity stores settings such as onboarding completion, selected case type, selected case folder, saved filing profile, and redaction/export preferences locally using macOS app storage.

How Information Is Used

CaseClarity uses local information to:

• Organize matter-specific evidence and case folders.
• Extract facts, dates, and document signals from files you choose to import.
• Draft documents from the active case folder only.
• Preserve reusable filing information so you do not need to re-enter it.
• Verify subscription access to paid features.

Data Storage and Deletion

• App data is stored locally in the app container and related macOS-supported local storage.
• You can delete cases, evidence, drafts, and generated exports from your device.
• The Settings screen includes a local data reset option.
• Removing the app may not automatically remove every document you exported to locations you selected.

Third-Party Services

CaseClarity uses Apple StoreKit for subscriptions and App Store purchase restoration. Apple’s handling of App Store account and payment information is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.

Security

CaseClarity uses the macOS App Sandbox and user-selected file access. The app is designed to operate without network entitlements for normal drafting workflows.

Children’s Privacy

CaseClarity is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes. Updates will be reflected by changing the “Last Updated” date.
